Weezer - Dusty Gems and Raw Nuggets (1995)

1. Mykel and Carli
2. Susanne
3. Jamie
4. Lullaby for Wayne
5. Paperface
6. Thief, You've Taken All That Was Me
7. Let's Sew Our Pants Together
8. I Can't Forget the Way
9. Windows Down
10. Superman
11. Dawn Sets Upon Us
12. Just What I Needed

Ah yes, the original Green Album. When I was doing my original run of alternate universe Weezer albums last year, I started with the outtakes from Pinkerton cause I didn't feel as though I had enough outtakes from their first album to make a whole second album. But I was mostly basing this off of an album called Dusty Gems and Raw Nuggets which was the second disc of their 10th anniversary reissue in 2004. However in that time, Rivers had been uploading a lot of his early demos including some outtakes from the first album. Some of which later appeared on their 30th anniversary reissue in 2024. So I thought what was I thinking? I have enough outtakes from the first album to make a second album! In fact I could make an even earlier album too.

Weezer - Seafoam (2017)

1. Hawaii
2. The Last Days of Summer
3. You're Beautiful to Me
4. Please Don't Shake Me Down
5. You're Prettier Than You Think
6. I'll Love You Every Day
7. Point Blank Range
8. Simple to Me
9. Quick Picture
10. I Don't Want You to Go
11. Real Life Friend
12. Up in the Clouds
13. Everyone Knows
14. Fair Weather Friend
15. Live My Life

Looking through the White Album demos proved to be disappointing with only a couple good songs in it, and the Pacific Daydream demos sounded almost hip-hop at times so I would just rather not use them. Nevertheless there was some EWBAITE demos from the light theme album that I didn't use that I could combine with the White Album demos I liked to make a new album. I thought this could represent the most popular era for demos in those fan made fake Weezer albums. The Last Days of Summer was previously released as a fan club single.

Weezer - Cascade (2015)

1. Such a Long Way to Heaven
2. Hey Nonbeliever
3. See You, Feel You
4. The Ballad of St. George
5. Let's Go to the 33rd Dimension
6. I'll Be With Someone Else
7. Attention Deficit Disorder
8. Don’t Go Gentle
9. It's Been So Long
10. Four Leaf Clover
11. Inspired
12. Bone on Bone
13. Where is My Protector?

On the other side of the metaphorical coin, also using demos from the 2014 album Everything Will Be Alright in the End, this album gives off a more heavy theme with electric guitars. One song called It's Been So Long was actually released in 2019 as a fan club single.

Weezer - Opulence (2015)

1. Wagamama
2. Binoculars
3. Second Best Hugger in the World
4. The Good News Channel
5. Empty Nest
6. What You Wanna Be
7. The Unofficials
8. The Best Thing in Life
9. Exonerate Me
10. The Gift of Gab
11. You Were Right Here All Along
12. We Are the Indians

In using demos from the 2014 album Everything Will Be Alright in the End, I tried to give this one a more lighthearted feeling with synths and acoustic guitars.

Weezer - Ecce Homo (2014)

1. The Rules of Life
2. Gravity Will Bring You Down
3. Sing My Blues Away
4. I Won't Let You Down
5. Ivory Telephone
6. Bless the Whole Wide World
7. Everybody Needs Salvation
8. Pissing in the Wind
9. Meet Up With Our Maker
10. The Tower of Babel
11. Empty Inside
12. Love Me
13. I Wish I Could Autotune My Face

Here's the first in a series of albums of demos from the 2014 album Everything Will Be Alright in the End. This album was an early version of the latter with several of the same songs. Though the albums have nothing to do with each other and I actually cut out a song for directly mentioning the storyline. Actually I had this joke for a long time: load up the folder of songs from the EWBAITE demos, listen to any 12 tracks, and you got a new Weezer album. So this time I wanted to challenge myself. I separated the next two albums into light and dark themes.

Weezer - Ambrosia (2006)

1. Me and My Posse (Intro)
2. Simple Fisherman
3. Purple Flowers
4. Everybody Wants a Chance to Feel All Alone
5. Holding Me Back
6. Kings of Money
7. The Victor
8. Sacrifice
9. The Organ Player
10. Why Oh Why
11. Set Me Right
12. Over the Mountain

Ok now that we're exhausted from checking out the Green Album demos, let's check out the Make Believe demos! And the time period from Maladroit to Make Believe is just as exhausting as the one from Pinkerton to the Green Album! Some of these songs came from the Album 5 demos from 2002 which mostly appear on my Homecoming album. Some of the other songs are from the unreleased album Unchained Melody which I talked about in my Black Album post.

Weezer - Somnambulist (2002)

1. Trampoline
2. I Don't Wanna Bust My Heart
3. With My Own Two Hands
4. Rosemary
5. American Girls
6. O Girl
7. Preacher's Son
8. Every Night
9. On the Edge
10. Too Late to Try

While on tour in 2000, Weezer put out a semi-official album of work-in-progress songs called Summer Songs of 2000. Some of the songs would later end up on Maladroit, as well as the cover being an alternate cover for it, but by this point it's 2002 and some of these songs were recorded in 1998. After 6 albums of outtakes for one album it's starting to get tiring.

Weezer - Other Side of the Sun (2001)

1. Oh Lisa
2. Sugar Booger
3. Starlight
4. Teenage Victory Song
5. Brightening Day
6. Everybody Go Away
7. I Hear Bells
8. New Joint
9. Everyone
10. I Wish You Luck
11. Hole in Time

In 2001, after 5 years of waiting, Weezer finally released their third album at 28 minutes long. It's pretty short, but after 5 years the band accumulated a lot of demos during that time. Whereas the Purple Album is made up of demos from the Green Album, Other Side of the Sun tries to be the theoretical other half of the album that would make it about an hour long, including B-sides and other demos. Everybody Go Away, I Hear Bells, and Everyone would get released later on.

Weezer - The Purple Album (2000)

1. Pleased to Meet You
2. It's a Game
3. Coal Miner
4. Gimme Something
5. Mr. Docksider
6. Sweet Talk
7, Possessed, Obsessed
8. I Can't Live
9. You're Fun to Play With
10. Let's Get Mellow

In looking for Green Album demos to combine with whatever Black Room demos I had left to make a fourth entry to this series, I actually had enough material for three more albums, so here's at least one of them. These are technically Green Album demos and not Black Room demos. The cover was based on a rejected design for the Green Album. There was also consideration into releasing a Purple Album in 2012, but it never happened.

Weezer - Herbert (1999)

1. Go Leia
2. Daddy's Girl
3. Sepultura
4. Bonfire
5. Somebody Save Me
6. One More Time
7. Smokin' Crack
8. C'mon Siobhan
9. You Got Me
10. I Hip
11. Left Foot Down
12. When Situations Piss You Off

Here's another batch of songs from Weezer's Black Room demos. I always thought that the Alone series entry for the Green Album demos was one of the smallest, but one commenter pointed out that if you count the Black Room demos as being part of the Green Album demos then it's actually one of the biggest! Each entry in this series could basically be a copy of the Green Album, but I think the demos could offer one more album.

Weezer - The Black Hole (1999)

1. Suicide Pilot
2. I Don't Need You
3. Labrador
4. Homeless
5. Movie Theater
6. Ayleen
7. It Used to Be Mine
8. Kilimanjaro
9. French Pop
10. Sixth Xmas
11. Crazy One

This doesn't actually have anything to do with Weezer's unreleased album Songs From the Black Hole. This is actually more tracks from the Black Room demos. There were hundreds of songs recorded during this time so I thought I'd put together another batch of them. The original album focused on the Catalog of Riffs demos with two tracks from the TK demos Socialite and Girl's Soccer. There was another batch of recordings in that file called the TKX demos which could be their own album, but I used two of them I Don't Need You and It Used to Be Mine. Also Crazy One was released on the first Alone.

Weezer - Supernova (1998)

1. Waiting on You
2. Devotion
3. I Swear It's True
4. You Gave Your Love to Me Softly
5. I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams
6. You Won't Get With Me Tonight
7. Getting Up and Leaving
8. Superfriend
9. Long Time Sunshine
10. Tragic Girl

Here's an album of demos based on Weezer's second album Pinkerton. The album itself was based on an unreleased album called Songs From the Black Hole, and although I made an album with a similar name, neither that one nor this one have anything to do with it. All the songs can be found on the deluxe edition of Pinkerton except for Superfriend which was released on Alone.

Weezer - The Black Album (2004)

1. Mr. Taxman
2. Listen Up
3. High Up Above
4. Saturday Night
5. Zep Jamb
6. We Go Together
7. How Long?
8. Broken Arrows
9. Don't Pick on Me
10. Your Room
11. Living Without You
12. Change the World (Edit)
13. Ain't Got Much Time
14. Serendipity
15. Porcupine
Bonus Track - Sandwiches Time (Edit)

In 2004, Weezer were working on their fifth album which was officially released as Make Believe in 2005. I listened to a bootleg of demos from around this time called Unchained Melody and thought that there was only half an album of good material worth using. I think if Weezer did release an album this year, it should be of demos they recorded for Maladroit in 2002, similar to the Homecoming album. They recorded 31 songs but only used 13 of them, meaning there are 18 to choose from. I cut out a couple songs only cause I liked most of the material.

They also said they were going to follow up their Green Album in 2001 with a Black Album, but instead they released Maladroit and didn't release a Black Album until 2018. The cover fits with this era of all four members being featured on the front. Living Without You was released as an international bonus track on Maladroit. I also edited out 30 seconds from the intro of Change the World and then I included Sandwiches Time as a bonus track. This is an edited version that combines the official version with falsetto vocals with the alternate version with regular vocals. For this I used the alternate vocals as a base and the falsetto vocals on the choruses.

Weezer - The Black Room (2000)

1. I Want You
2. Doorbell
3. Sunshine
4. Somebody Tell Me Why
5. Greyhound
6. The Black Rider
7. Socialite
8. Girl's Soccer
9. Phlegm Man
10. Average Town

These songs were recorded in 1998 and 1999 when Rivers Cuomo went through a period of introversion where he locked himself in his bedroom with his guitars and recording equipment, closed his windows, disconnected his phone, and painted the walls black. It was also around this time that he wrote the Encyclopedia of Pop, where he analyzed songs by Nirvana, Green Day, and Oasis to become the ultimate songwriter.

Weezer - Homecoming (2003)

1. Private Message
2. Superstar
3. Misstep
4. Booby Trap
5. Lethe
6. Running Man
7. Mansion of Cardboard
8. Mad Kow
9. Modern Dukes
10. Queen of Earth

This is my attempt to make the ultimate Weezer unreleased album. I just wanted to focus on the album 5 demos from 2002 which was about 20 songs so I just had to choose half of them. When I realized that not all the songs were heavy, I stopped trying to choose songs I liked and started to choose songs that were similar. Some of the demos later went on to form other songs and some of the songs had multiple takes to choose from, so I hope that my track choice is the most original and concise of the demos. Some of the songs are better quality than others even though they use the best takes. The cover has bassist Matt Sharp on the cover even though Scott Shriner was the bassist at the time. It was based on a bootleg of a concert from 2000 in Germany.

Aphex Twin - Analogue Bubblebath (1992)

  1. Analogue Bubblebath 2. Isopropophlex 3. En Trance to Exit (with Schizophrenia) 4. AFX 2 5. Digeridoo 6. Untitled 7. Alien Fanny Farts 8...
