14. Second Step Next Language
15. Curious Things
16. Exit Planes
17. A Little Bit of Dread

19. Water on the Boater's Back

In real life, Guided by Voices didn't release an album this year, but in our universe, they released The Flying Party is Here, an album of outtakes from Under the Bushes, Under the Stars, and now this one. And I guess we're also assuming that Tobin didn't leave the group the prior year.

9. The Stir-Crazy Pornographer
10. Systems Crash
11. The Who vs. Porky Pig

15. Cocksoldiers and Their Postwar Stubble
16. The Winter Cows
17. He's the Uncle
18. The Ash Gray Proclamation
19. Roofer's Union Fight Song
20. Pink Drink
21. Bug House
22. Pantherz
23. Finks
24. Beneath a Festering Moon

Guided by Voices' last lo-fi album was Under the Bushes, Under the Stars in 1996. It didn't produce a lot of hits for the band but it did produce a lot of material. The previously talked about album Bee Thousand had 20 tracks released but had 64 tracks recorded for it. I wasn't familiar with a lot of their more obscure songs from afterward but I was surprised to find that this album also had a lot of outtakes. I found 32 for this one and 22 for another called Do the Collapse. I cut out the intros to Beekeeper Seeks Ruth and Pantherz.

Weezer - Supernova (1998)

1. Waiting on You
2. Devotion
3. I Swear It's True
4. You Gave Your Love to Me Softly
5. I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams
6. You Won't Get With Me Tonight
7. Getting Up and Leaving
8. Superfriend
9. Long Time Sunshine
10. Tragic Girl

Here's an album of demos based on Weezer's second album Pinkerton. The album itself was based on an unreleased album called Songs From the Black Hole, and although I made an album with a similar name, neither that one nor this one have anything to do with it. All the songs can be found on the deluxe edition of Pinkerton except for Superfriend which was released on Alone.

Toadies - Feeler (1998)

1. Push the Hand
2. City of Hate
3. Waterfall
4. What We Have We Steal
5. Mine
6. Dead Boy Boogie
7. Tornado
8. Joey, Let's Go
9. Suck Magic
10. Clarksville
11. Your Day
12. Send You to Heaven
13. Doll Skin

The Toadies were a band that reached success with their song Possum Kingdom in 1994. Fans eagerly waited for the band's second album and they attempted to record one in 1998 but their label refused to release it. Because of that their actual second album Hell Below/Stars Above didn't come out until 2001. Three of the songs would later make it to their second album, Push the Hand, What We Have We Steal, and Doll Skin, but the band would later attempt to rerecord the album in 2010, with an additional song getting rerecorded in 2015. In place of the original tracks ATF Theme, Pink, Twitch, and Littlefish, I included the three tracks that got rerecorded for the second album but didn't include the 2010 version exclusive Trust Game.

Rancid - Life Won't Wait (1998)

1. Bloodclot
2. Hoover Street
3. Black Lung
4. Stop
5. New Dress
6. Warsaw
7. Tattoo
8. The Brothels
9. Leicester Square

14. The Wolf
15. 1998

17. Brad Logan
18. Turntable
19. Something in the World Today
20. Corazón de Oro

Coming off the success of their last album, ...And Out Came the Wolves in 1995, Rancid's next album went through a lengthy recording process, tracking over 50 songs with most of them being unreleased. Some of the songs were reggae sounding and two were even recorded in Jamaica. The final result took three years and has 22 tracks at over an hour long, making it their longest album. I was able to find 10 more tracks from around this time mostly from the B Sides and C Sides compilation so I wanted to see if I could replace the reggae tracks.

Radish - Discount Fireworks (1998)

1. What It's Like to Live in Commerce
2. Drink Me Away
3. Wasted and Ready
4. Harriet's Got a Song
5. Cally
6. Silent Scene
7. Orange Tic-Tacs
8. In Other Words
9. For Forever
10. Bill W. is My Friend
11. Girl in Between
12. 4.40 (Episode 2)
Bonus Track - Next Time

This is my version of Radish's unreleased second album Discount Fireworks. Radish only released one album in 1997 called Restraining Bolt when the main leader Ben Kweller was 15 years old. After the album didn't get released and the band broke up, Ben Kweller started a solo career but never achieved fame since then. This version removes some of the tracks so it's about as long as the first. The bonus track is Next Time which I think would be the B-side to Drink Me Away if it was a single.
