This combines all the tracks from both Hardcore Devo compilations that are from 1976 and 1977. I wasn't sure if I would have enough material to include so I also used Recombo DNA from the compilation of the same name as well as the Be Stiff EP versions of Be Stiff and Social Fools because those tracks never made it onto albums and those are my favorite versions of them.

Hey did you know Devo had enough material to put out an album in 1974? Yeah so Mechanical Man as it turns out was not recorded in 1974. So I had to take some tracks out but I was actually able to replace them with some tracks that turned out to be recorded in 1974.

Hey did you know Devo had enough material to put out an album in 1974? Well technically they did except there's one problem. Mechanical Man was recorded in 1975, not 1974! And neither were a couple other songs on my original album. Apparently the recording dates I had were inaccurate but have since been updated. Although this would mean I would have to split this album into two albums. I took out tracks and replaced them with others.

Hey did you know Devo had enough material to put out an album in 1974? This is coming from both of their Hardcore Devo compilation albums, including bonus tracks from the reissue of the second volume, but I put them on the side of the first volume cause it needed more tracks. This is also excluding the demos of Jocko Homo, Social Fools, and Be Stiff that were recorded this year, but I always preferred the 1977 versions from the Be Stiff EP.

This was an idea that I had for years, but I only had a list of songs I could use and not a track listing. Recently though Devo released a 2 CD compilation album containing more of their early material. Not only would the tracks be in better quality but I could cut out a CD of stuff.

My take on a compilation album that came out alongside another compilation album in 2000 called Recombo DNA. The tracks in asterisks were tracks I added to the compilation. The album was one I put together a couple years ago but I recently added the last track after I remembered it existed. In fact the album version was a minute longer than the music video version I remembered hearing as a kid.
