The Beatles - Beatles for Sale (1964)

Side A:
1. No Reply
2. I'm a Loser
3. Baby's in Black
4. Every Little Thing
5. I'll Follow the Sun
6. Eight Days a Week
7. I Don't Want to Spoil the Party

Side B:
8. Long Tall Sally
9. I Call Your Name
10. Slow Down
11. Matchbox
12. I Feel Fine
13. She's a Woman
14. What You're Doing

Some people call Beatles for Sale the worst Beatles album. It could be because their sound was getting more folky, or it could be because this was their last major album that's half covers. One blog I saw went so far as to make an all originals version of Beatles for Sale. And while my version isn't like that, I took out the 6 covers and found that there were 6 songs from Past Masters that I could use, though some of them were covers.

The Beatles - Second Album (1963)

Side A:
1. I Want to Hold Your Hand
2. From Me to You
3. Thank You Girl
4. She Loves You
5. I'll Get You
6. Ask Me Why
7. This Boy

Side B:
8. Boys
9. Twist and Shout
10. Please Mr. Postman
11. Roll Over Beethoven
12. You Really Got a Hold on Me
13. Devil in Her Heart
14. Money (That's What I Want)

As mentioned in my last post, when The Beatles released two albums in 1963, they were both half covers and half originals, meaning you could combine all the originals on one album and all the covers on another. But as the Past Masters compilations showed us, they had a few more originals around this time. So the first side has all the originals from Past Masters plus one from Please Please Me I didn't use before, and the second side has the most rocking of the covers.

The Beatles - Meet the Beatles! (1963)

Side A:
1. I Saw Her Standing There
2. Misery
3. Please Please Me
4. Love Me Do
5. P.S. I Love You
6. Do You Want to Know a Secret?
7. There's a Place

Side B:
8. It Won't Be Long
9. All I've Got to Do
10. All My Loving
11. Don't Bother Me
12. Little Child
13. Hold Me Tight
14. I Wanna Be Your Man
15. Not a Second Time

For as long as this blog had preferred American versions of British releases, the Beatles' British albums have been considered mostly canon with the exception of one album. But basically the premise is this: if the Beatles released two albums in 1963 with both being half covers and half originals, then why not just combine all the original tracks together? Although the album is called Meet the Beatles! and combines tracks from both albums, this is a take on my original idea.

The Beatles - Introducing the Beatles (1962)

1. Like Dreamers Do
2. Ain't She Sweet?
3. How Do You Do It?
4. The Sheik of Araby
5. To Know Her is to Love Her
6. Take Good Care of My Baby
7. Memphis, Tennessee

10. Three Cool Cats

14. Besame Mucho
15. Searchin'

This is an album based on the band's unsuccessful audition demo tape for the record label Decca. Six of the tracks would get released on Anthology 1 but two of the tracks got released on With the Beatles. I cut those out and replaced them with two other tracks from Anthology.

Beat Happening - Beat Happening (1985)

Side A:
1. Foggy Eyes
2. Bad Seeds
3. I Let Him Get to Me
4. I Spy
5. Run Down the Stairs
6. I Love You
7. Down at the Sea
8. Fourteen

Side B:

12. The Fall
13. Youth
14. Don't Mix the Colors
15. Let's Kiss
16. 1-2-3
17. Look Around

Beat Happening was the self-titled debut album by the band of the same name. It was short but would later be surpassed by the compilation 83-85 which presented the band's early recordings in chronological order. Because of this the album wouldn't get officially reissued until 2022, though this version was a double album that featured tracks from the compilation. If you took out a couple songs though you could fit the album on one side and the bonus tracks on the other.

Side A:
1. Feel U Up
2. Irresistible Bitch
3. Money Don't Grow on Trees

Side B:
4. Vagina

8. If It'll Make U Happy

11. Don't Let Him Fool Ya

Side D:
12. Possessed
13. Yah, You Know
14. Moonbeam Levels
15. No Call U

Last time I was working on Prince albums I made two double albums worth of outtakes from his double album Sign O' the Times from 1987. It amounted to 6 albums in 4 hours. I had never expanded an album to such a length. For one of the songs called Teacher, Teacher, I used the 1982 outtake from 1999 which was his first double album. Looking into the deluxe edition, it had 2 discs of outtakes whereas the other album had 3.

Wings - Back to the Egg (1979)

Side A:
1. We're Open Tonight
2. Getting Closer
3. Spin It On
4. Again and Again and Again
5. Old Siam, Sir
6. Arrow Through Me
7. To You

Side B:
8. After the Ball
9. Love Awake
10. So Glad to See You Here
11. Goodnight Tonight
12. Daytime Nighttime Suffering
13. Weep for Love

When I was working on my London Town album, I listened to that album as well as this one. I thought that this one had some weak tracks but I ended up not using it. Despite that I always felt like it could be improved. So I listened to it again and I thought it was weak in the second half. Two of the songs were medleys but I cut both in half and kept part of them. I also took out 5 tracks and replaced them with 3 new ones like both sides of a non-album single.

The Small Faces - From the Beginning (1967)

Side A:
1. Runaway
2. My Mind's Eye
3. Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
4. That Man
5. Hey Girl
6. Take This Hurt Off Me
7. All or Nothing

Side B:
10. Something I Want to Tell You
11. Things Are Going to Get Better
12. Become Like You
13. All Our Yesterdays
14. Eddie's Dreaming
15. What's a Matter Baby?
16. I've Got Mine
17. Understanding
18. I Can't Dance With You

In between the Small Faces' first two albums which are both self-titled, the band changed labels from Decca to Immediate but they released a compilation in between called From the Beginning. It was intended to be a collection of outtakes with some being previously unreleased, however two of the tracks came from the first album and two more tracks would later get released on the second album. In fact, on the American version of the second album called There Are But Four Small Faces, they included the two tracks from From the Beginning but cut out a whole side's worth of material from the second album. So the first side makes up all the tracks from From the Beginning that I could include and the second side contains most of the tracks from the second album not featured on the American version.

The Zombies - Next Steps (1970)

Side A:
1. Telescope (Mr. Galileo)
2. Unhappy Girl

4. Without Her
5. Twelve Twenty Nine

Side B:
7. Don't Try to Explain
8. World of Glass
9. To Julia (For When She Smiles)
10. Never My Love
11. It's Not Easy
12. Like Honey

My last post about The Zombies was focusing on their legendary unreleased album R.I.P. which eventually got released in 2000. And even though it eventually got released, some unreleased album blogs like this one would try to make their own version of it. Some of which even had songs from the 2007 album Into the Afterlife which tried to bridge the Zombies material with material its members released solo. One blog I saw even released this idea as its own album separately, but no blog I've seen has tried tackling all three unreleased Zombies albums. This blog however used songs from Colin Blunstone's first solo album from 1971, but I'm capping the timeframe on this album with the first Argent album.

Side B:

Here's a theoretical third Pink Floyd album of 1969. It basically collects all the outtakes between this one and my last one which is enough to fit on one album.
